For our first blog entry, we are featuring the dahlia, a wonderful, wildly colorful flower that will be available at Robin Wood Flowers throughout the summer.
The Aztecs gathered and cultivated dahlias for food, ceremony, decoration ... and the long woody stem of one variety was used for small pipes. These colorful blooms can be as small as 2" in diameter - up to the size of 12 " dinner plates.
This blog allows us to show you the freshest seasonal flowers available at Robin Wood Flowers, some of our discoveries as we are out and about, and to share our "Finds" of all things inspired by botanical elements on the Web and in our lives.
Whether it's incredible tulips in the spring, our unique seasonal arrangements, or growers, artists, and vendors, we want to show you the latest on our blog. Check back often and enjoy the show!
